For over thirty years Smuggler’s Enterprises, Inc. has played a significant part in our community. We have grown from one food and beverage operation to five, including catering services. Our restaurants are The Captain’s Table, Harpoon Harry’s, Laishley Crab House, Harpoon Harry’s Crab House in Pigeon Forge, TN, and Harpoon Harry’s Crab House in Tampa, FL. Our company mandate is simple, “Quality Food, Quality Service, in a Clean and Maintained Environment.” We work daily to meet this mandate and provide a unique experience for our customers.
In 2008, we formed The Smuggler’s Enterprises, Inc. Foundation. Our purpose is simple, “Establish partnerships, which carry out local community relations initiatives that align with our corporate strategies and address the needs of the community where we do business.” The Foundation enables us to streamline our philanthropic efforts through one organization. Administrated by the Charlotte Community Foundation, they lend their professional experience in the philanthropic world and provide the framework to achieve our common goals. We believe it is our corporate role to work with organizations and supporting programs through corporate philanthropy and community outreach. Smuggler’s currently contributes a portion of our gross daily sales to the Foundation.
When you support any of our restaurants, you are supporting our philanthropic efforts. We also partner with our employees and they contribute on a volunteer basis weekly from their paychecks. On top of the financial contributions we also have a volunteer commitment to our community. Our staff regularly volunteers hundreds of hours on a quarterly basis throughout organizations in Charlotte County. Some of our efforts include, donating over $100,000 worth of food to local food pantries, providing Christmas and Thanksgiving to over 2 dozen local families, recycling efforts throughout our company, charity based guest bartending, youth programs, drug free programs, Habitat for Humanity, American Red Cross, American Cancer Society, Virginia B. Andes Clinic, and many more. For more information on our combined efforts, please look through our website or contact us directly. smugglerscommunityfoundation.org
